Baking Soda Hacks for Dog Lovers
How to use baking soda to tackle all manner of pet problems
Baking soda is a pet loverโs best friend. This smell-absorbing multi-tasker is safe to use around animals, kids, and in the kitchen. Because baking soda is a pure, natural product and also a food, it is non-toxic, unlike many other household cleaners. And it naturally disarms bad smells. (Though note that your dog should not consume the baking soda.)
โBaking soda โattacksโ the molecule responsible for the smell,โ explains Anthony Rojas, a Georgia Institute of Technology chemistry professor. โIn doing so, it steals away an atom, thus chemically changing the structure of the odour molecule into one that smells differently.โ AKA, goodbye unwanted doggie smells!ย
